The Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 (RIAT 2025) once again captivated aviation enthusiasts from around the globe as thousands gathered at RAF Fairford from 18–20 July 2025. Widely regarded as the world’s largest military airshow, the event showcased cutting-edge aviation technology, breathtaking aerial displays, and international air power cooperation. This year’s theme, “Eyes in the Skies,” focused on intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and maritime patrol aircraft. Visitors witnessed an impressive lineup of specialised aircraft, including the RAF’s new Boeing E-7 Wedgetail AEW.1, which made its public debut appearance alongside the famous Red Arrows display team. RIAT 2025 featured aircraft and crews from nearly 30 nations, highlighting both historic aviation heritage and modern military innovation. Crowd favourites included the Lockheed U-2 Dragon Lady, Eurofighter Typhoon displays, heavy transport aircraft, and classic warbirds that thrilled spectators throughout the weekend. Beyond the flying displays, RIAT continued its mission of inspiring future generations through STEM exhibitions, interactive technology zones, and educational programmes organised by the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust. The event also celebrated 40 years of RIAT at RAF Fairford, reflecting on decades of aviation excellence and international partnership. With more than 170,000 attendees and hundreds of aircraft on display, RIAT 2025 reinforced its reputation as one of the most spectacular aviation events in the world — a celebration of aerospace innovation, heritage, and global cooperation.
